“All that glitters is not gold.” And EYE would not argue with
Shakespeare about that. Sometimes it’s glass that glitters, glimmers,
and glows most brilliantly, as evidenced by the hand-crafted jewelry of
Linda McLaughlin. A slight tilt of the head and one of Linda’s earrings
will seem to “turn on” a different colored light. But crafting such
jewelry would appear to be a rather involved process. As stated by
Linda, “I utilize various methods to create my unique pieces, including
metalsmithing, forging, chain maille, kiln fusing, chemical fusion, cold
working, Patte de Verre, sandblasting, etching, lampworking, Kuem-Boo
and mosaics.” Myriad and MANY methods EYE’d say. But you have to see her
jewelry in person.
